I have always had a love for the environment and health. As an elementary student I remember my 2nd grade class adopted a whale. It made me feel like I was doing something big to help the environment. The "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" agenda was introduced around that same time. This was a big deal for me as I came home full force trying to get mom and dad to recycle. I already went to yard sales with Grandma and knew that second hand shopping was an environmentally responsible choice. Around the 5th grade I began to think about my own health and how everything around me affected my body and mind. While I did make the usual bad decisions as teenagers do, I always felt a sub consciousness regarding my own health. It has taken me many years of bad decisions and mistakes to become knowledgeable of what "healthy" is, for me. My perception of my own well being is unique. We all have memories that correlate to what we perceive as healthy and unhealthy. It takes time to become self aware and apply our knowledge from our mistakes to create a better self.
